ABANDONED

When something or someone is abandoned: left behind, forgotten, lost, given up or thrown away, that is the moment when they actually ‘exist’.

They are solitary elders being forgotten from society.

They are orphans who lost their mothers from a route of refuge in a war.

They are our beloved pets, thrown away in the middle of the road of vacation.

They are our ex-lovers who beg for another chance.

Desperate and sorrowful situations like those are unfortunately inevitable in our lives.

Succession of emotional situations leads us to a certain insensibility, a state of “emotional numbness”

Each suffering hardens like callus, putting us in a state of paralysis.

Abandoned beings are vecteurs of our vulnerability, which are wounded and naked so that we can see their tender and pink flesh exposed.

Therefore, abandoned beings are results of everyday violence, I would say.
