My photo series explores the complex layers of identity shaped by the fashion and celebrity industries during Milan Fashion Week. The project captures the hidden, often overlooked dynamics occurring in the streets outside the glamorous venues—spaces where identity and self-worth are constantly renegotiated.
Through candid street photography, the series delves into the moments of anticipation, excitement, and chaos as crowds gather to witness their idols, aspiring models pose with the hope that one of the snapshots will go viral, organizers and security personnel, strive to maintain order amidst the frenzy, photographers scramble to capture the best shots of the event. These street scenes reflect the interplay between personal ambition, public spectacle, and societal expectations.
The human body, serves as a dynamic and expressive medium in this project. My photos capture how individuals embody and project their identities, whether through fashion, pose, or interaction with others. The crowded streets become a microcosm of the larger forces that shape contemporary self-perception—fame, beauty, and the desire for recognition.
