My series “LOST NAME” is about the consumption and deprivation of “personal names” as symbols that are defenseless and vulnerable. In this series, I use a split diopter filter attached to the lens as a way of materializing the concept, blurring the realistic image of the person so that they are not clearly visible even when they are right in front of you. In a social networking society where anonymity easily leads to violence against real names, there are voices that pessimistically predict the erosion of individual creative activities by generative AI without the artist's name, and the “power” of the “state” that considers people to be a collective without names and deprives individuals of their names in an instant. These are examples of different natures, but they can all be interpreted against the backdrop of the fragility of individual names and existence.
