Around the world, the great civilizations and the cities have thrived on the banks of the great rivers. The Indian Subcontinent is no different; many ancient cities came up on the riverside and the city of Delhi is one of them.

Here is the Yamuna, pulsing through the heart of the city. Without her, there would be no Delhi, new or old. She’s what defines us. For centuries, the river has been the binding force that has held together the honeycomb of Delhi’s streets and dwellings.
