My project consists in a series of images taken this year in Chefchaouen, Morocco. I tend to favor clean frames and during this trip, I had searched for different options to achieve this type of look while confronted with small spaces and a high amount of people in the streets. Reacting mainly to harsh light and bright colors and inspired by Joan Miro’s Blue Triptych, I had decided to expose for highlights, using hard shadows to contrast shapes and complement tones, simplifying the look of the frames as much as possible. Aiming to keep traits of street/documentary styles without going for a full abstract approach.
