I'm submitting a project that I have been working on for more than a year and it's called Playground for Seniors. It involves the ever-increasing aging society issue that China is facing, and it also serves as a glimpse of elderly Chinese's colorful retirement life. All the works were shot at Xiu Qiu Park in Nanjing, China. My inspiration for this project was from my frequent contact with these old people at the park, I talked to them a lot, and even became acquaintances or friends with some of them. So I was thinking, "why not show their life at the park with my works?". And by doing so, I want more people, especially young ones, to learn more about them, and furthermore, to spend more time with them as they really need someone to talk to, someone to admire their fitness and good health, and someone to keep company.
