I'm submitting a project called The Sleeping Chinese. All the works were shot in China. My inspiration for this project was from my frequent encounter with random Chinese people napping or sleeping on the street. Napping is a widely employed way to stay healthy for Chinese, and also an important part of the culture. You will be amazed by the fact that under any circumstances, Chinese people can always manage to fall into sleep, without feeling insecure or uncomfortable, which really brings out the very natural state of people. The sleeping part shows the life condition and working states of ordinary Chinese people, thereby revealing the rapid developing nature of Chinese society and the real situation of China, which is also my purpose of this project.
