- In Karakol, Kyrgyzstan, an animal market is held regularly. After all, horses, sheep, cows, and yaks have lived with people in Kyrgyzstan since time immemorial. Bustling activity, emotions, joy from a good purchase, sadness from the loss of a beloved animal— all of this can be seen here. I have been there several times, and it always had a unique atmosphere.
